ETL/Integration Specialist, New York, NY, Permanent

Our New York, New York client, a global financial firm, is seeking a Mid to Senior-level Informatica Integration Engineer to work directly with various technical and non-technical groups in the gathering of requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Data integration development within Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange
• Develop and maintain Informatica PowerCenter solutions
• Perform systems/data analysis to implement Informatica mappings and workflows, Shell Scripts, and stored procedures
• Unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting with PowerCenter
• Design and develop complex Informatica ETL processes that integrate data from Oracle
• Provide performance improvement related guidance to the Informatica team members
• Work with a job scheduler application to design and schedule Informatica workflows
• Understand and write complex Oracle SQL statements
• Leading full life cycle development including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and documentation including version control practices and technologies
• Communicate with business users to collect and understand requirements; socialize ideas among peers, and document work product

The successful Informatica Integration Engineer will meet the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise):

• Bachelor's Degree in a related area
• 3+ years of significant practical experience in ETL and Systems Integration
• Informatica PowerCenter 8.6 or greater is a huge plus
• Experience leading a team on a project
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fast learner and able to set and meet deadlines
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work load
• Knowledge of CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
• Solid ODBC experience (3+ years)
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and J ava
• Experience with database architecture, relational database diagrams, integrity constraints, database security using users; database and application level roles
• Technical experience in development using Web Services; and XML based Web Services
• Must demonstrate the ability to analyze technical information and requirements to design and develop robust data integration solutions
• Proactive and a self-motivator, team player, working well with others on the project, outgoing, and comfortable in communication
• Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities
• Ability to solve problems quickly and completely
