Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for a Video Solutions Architect to join our client in Manhattan, NYC.
Job Responsibilities:
- The lead role requires deep technical expertise across the entire digital video process, from video ingestion to video playback.
- Expertise from conception to completion for video streams, how they integrate, how it initiates playback, how metadata for video is handled, video formats, video player distribution, live streaming, etc.
- The video leader will be the "go to guru" for the whole video process.
- The technical leader will work closely within the Product Development team acting in a technical capacity to bring enhancements to a reality while managing all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Serve as technical lead on demanding, cross-functional projects.
- Play a leading role in the design, implementation, and deployment of succes sful enterprise-level systems.
- Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.
- Lead design, RD and reviews for complex systems.
- Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward scalable solutions.
- Build flexible systems choosing simple, straightforward solutions over more complex ones.
Job Qualifications:
- Expert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in building complex distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems would be a plus.
- Possess expert knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Security, Enterprise System Architecture, and Engineering best practices.
- Pr oven track record of leading and successfully delivering large-scale high-available systems at an enterprise/consumer based level.
- Possess expert knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Security, and Enterprise.
- Demonstrate high levels of creativity and right judgments.
- Possess knowledge of a broad range of data structures and algorithms and know how, when and when-not to use them.
- Expertise in all facets of web development including front- and Back End technologies.
- Experience working on large scale, high traffic web sites.
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science with a minimum of five plus years of relevant, broad engineering experience is required.
- Strong experience working with multi-site development teams.
- Strong Communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-country/time zone environment.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize n umerous tasks.
- Proactive personality with a proven track record of following through and delivering on responsibilities.
- Highly adaptive and capable of being an individual contributor and working as part of an extended team.
