We are pleased to announce opportunities for Java/J2EE Developers in midtown Atlanta. These are contract-to-perm positions; for the first four to six months, you would work on a contract basis at our customer's location (with benefits available through our firm). Then, you would convert to Full time employment with this enterprise-level company, a well-established and stable employer with an excellent benefits package.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle on both new and ongoing projects
• Independently and collaboratively write and review software requirements, design specifications, code, unit tests, release notes and UML
• Serve as a technical resource for internal and external clients
• Demonstrated affinity for seeking, evaluating and coming up to speed on new technologies
• Knowledge of message based processing systems
• Must effectively communicate with other tea m members, managers and customers both in writing and verbally
• Provide troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of application software issues

Required Skills:

• 2 years experience in a professional environment developing Client Server applications and using SQL against relational databases
• Proficiency in Java, Unix and SQL
• Experience creating Web Services
• Proficiency in MS Office
• BS Degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience (3 or more years of hands-on software development experience)

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of .NET (C#, ASP, VB) web development-Familiarity with DB2 UDB
• Familiarity with IBM AIX
• Familiarity with MQ Series messaging
• Knowledge of Javascript, AJAX, ExtJS
• Knowledge of XML
