Job Responsibilities:
- The Digital Technology Team is looking for an experienced, hands-on, Chief Software Architect to act as the focal point of the Enterprise Architecture and IT Standards for the entire Digital platform. Primary responsibility is to drive and introduce leading-edge enterprise software frameworks, software design and standards across the firm. The Chief Software Architect will be expected to bring a vision for moving Digital forward in delivering quality software solutions.
- The Chief Software Architect will lead the enterprise software design within the Technology Team, reporting to the VP, Digital Technology.
- As Chief Architect, you will be responsible for overall software architecture and implementation of core foundational services in areas such as Market Dat a Systems, Video Platforms, Online Payment and Content Management. The Chief Architect will play a critical role in shaping the overall software direction and technologies within the Digital Team.
- Required Technical Leadership Skill Sets.
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience is required.
- Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures.
- Develop and maintain current and planned state architectural blueprints.
- Develop and maintain an inspirational architectural road map for the enterprise.
- Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.
- Provide architectural direction to Enterprise Architects, Business Architects and Solution Architects.
- Initiate and deliver architectural programs that align IT with business strategy.
- D eliver requisite program documentation including program charters, schedules, requirements document, specifications, design documents and testing strategies.
- Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures, frameworks and emerging technologies.
- Develop, communicate and deploy Enterprise Architecture processes.
- Perform annual architectural maturity assessments.
- Develop, communicate and deploy Enterprise Architecture Governance processes.
- Manage a team of senior Enterprise Architects.
- Experience with C++, Java, Various Web-based Technologies, OO Modeling, Middleware, Relational Databases and distributed computing technologies.
- Expert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
- Domain Expertise and Understanding in the digi tal and broadcast Media industry preferably financial media.
- Domain Expertise and Understanding in the Financial Markets and as it relates to software design and data relationship.
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in building complex distributed systems.
- Possess expert knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Security, Enterprise System Architecture, and Engineering best practices.
- Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
- Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.
- Demonstrate high levels of creativity and right judgments.
- Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward scalable solutions.
- Build flexible systems choosing simple, straightforward solutions ove r more complex ones.
- Possess knowledge of a broad range of data structures and algorithms and know how, when and when-not to use them.

- Strong experience working with multi-site development teams.
- Strong Communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-country/time zone environment.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks.
