Project Coordinator, New York, NY, Contract

The three main areas of responsibility are:
  • Client relations - Your main points of contact will be client's internal clients from all business divisions, predominantly marketing functions
  • Creative management - Work closely with the art directors, online and print designers, web developers, video production specialists, Reuters Pictures marketers, translators, copywriters and external suppliers, the Creative Project Manager will provide detailed and insightful input into the creative process, empowering the team to concept and create solutions that deliver against communications challenges
  • Brand ambassador - The Creative Project Manager is integral in building and maintaining brand value
Specific Expectations:
  • To work closely with our internal clients, creative teams and suppliers to ensure marketing campaigns, production work and initiatives meet the client's objectives from their initial brief
  • To partner with clients pre- and post-brief to accurately understand, advise on and outline all project requirements-business, technical, functional, creative, legal and otherwise - through brainstorming or marketing sessions
  • To manage the workflow of multiple campaigns and projects to ensure they are delivered on time

This position requires a person who combines relevant marketing communications knowledge and experience with exceptional, proven project management ability.

Specifically, the Creative Project Manager must possess:

  • Enthusiasm for helping to develop great marketing communications and an understanding of effective B2B marketing techniques
  • Proven project and campaign management and creative development skills
  • Hands-on working style to keep stakeholders informed at all stages of a project
  • Experience of managing clients, of differing levels of seniority, in a marketing communications service-driven or agency environment
  • Confidence in communicating with a wide variety of team members, clients and suppliers across multiple geographies
  • An intelligent approach to understand a large, complex business
  • Experience in online advertising/digital/video marketing as well as print
  • Understanding of the creative process and experience working directly with designers/developers/copywriters on marketing communications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
  • Flexible, adaptable and resilient character traits
  • Excellent (written and oral) communication skills
  • Proven experience in a marketing communications service/agency environment (ideally in-house or integrated agency)
