Job Overview:
The incumbent will be working with one of the global leaders within the Smart Grid vertical that leverages their experience and quality to deliver positive Energy Management resources worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working within the Meters Validation engineering team which is responsible for hardware, firmware and system validation of new designs and changes made to existing designs for Meters.
- This role will be focused on validating the meter's firmware design by combining several technical skills such as firmware design, implementation, documentation, integration, and system testing.
- In this position the incumbent will utilize their experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others , as well as having the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Smart Energy Profile.
- Well rounded experience in Embedded firmware engineering.
- Experience with test scripts.
- Experience with C and Assembly Language.
- Experience with 32bit microcontrollers/processors (ARM is preferred).
- RTOS knowledge (Threadx or O/S).
- Experience with lab equipment such as O-scope, logic and protocol analyzer.
- Experience with Zigbee SEP 1.1 is preferred.
- Experience with Networking Protocols such as IEEE and TCP/IP is preferred.
- HAN and WAN experience is preferred.
