Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Web Designer to join our client in Lake Success, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

- Development of Web based applications or highly interactive web sites and the design of significantly complex UI designs for web applications
- Code in HTML, XHTML and CSS (CSS2, CSS3); advocate web standards, cross-browser compatibility and semantic mark-up; must have understanding of JavaScript/AJAX/JQuery
- Graphic Design, color theory, iconography, typography, and layout
- Adobe Photoshop and image optimization
- Web Usability, Interaction, Information Architecture Wireframing
- Creating the Mockup ( HTML, CSS3, XHTML, Flash Action Script, preferably HTML5)
- Browser Compatibility (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera latest version only)
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility on new and existing code
- Structuring HTML, CS S, and JavaScript code to promote reuse, reduce duplication, and ensure consistency throughout the site

Job Qualifications:

- Developing Applications for Finance
- Client is using Oracle Web and Mainframe
- Looking for someone who can create crisp clean functional browsers
- .NET Applications. Needs to have .NET Application exp.
- Ability to work with a CSS grid layout - Working with the product managers and developers to implement new features and functionality Requirements
- Knowledge of Debugging tool/add-ons for different browsers eg firebug, IE developer tools etc.
- Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, Flash and associated design tools
- Extensive experience with user interface design patters and standard UCD methodologies across multiple platforms
- Working knowledge with .Net, MVC 3, Visual Studio 2010, Perforce is a plus
- In-depth experience with skinning, UI customization, and workflow design
- In-depth knowledge of and ability to code clean, valid, lightweight JavaScript
- Familiarity with best design practices and patterns for Web 2.0 workflows. Expert-level CSS2 skills
- Knowledge of Usability Testing Methodologies, web-industry standards and trends, platform standards, software development process, and prototyping/design
