This individual will coach cross-functional teams of project managers, analysts, developers, and business users to adopt Agile culture and best practices in the context of application development projects. The Agile Coach will be part of a centralized organization responsible for the enterprise-wide adoption of Agile. This individual will be a member of the Agile Working Group to define the Agile SDLC and best practices customized for our organization's culture and industry requirements. The Agile Coach will work with other Agile Coaches to create a library of coaching and training materials. The Agile Coach will help develop in-house coaching expertise through a Coach-the-Coach program.
Agile Coach Responsibilities:
- Coaches and mentors teams or individuals in adopting and improving agile methods and practices
- Provides a framework to enable the Team to apply Agile thinking to their specific project environment and impediments they face
- Help individuals and teams solve their own problems
- Provides training in Agile basic and advanced concepts
- Mentors team members and Scrum Masters on adoption of various agile practices in a hands-on manner
- Verifies that the Team adopts Agile values and principles
- Partners with stakeholders, leadership, program management, and developers to ensure comprehensive understanding of Agile methodology
- Provides advice and recommendations to the Agile Working Group on Agile and Scrum methods and practices ensuring that they are applied/leveraged effectively

- Develops best practices and templates to be implemented as part of enterprise-wide SDLC
- Creates workshops as needed to address areas of agile methods needing further training or experience
- Mentor s and develops internal Agile coaches
The candidate must have strong communication and facilitation skills, have prior Agile coaching experience, and be willing to take an Agile approach to Agile adoption. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to help lead the way in transforming an organization.
Specific Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree
- Previous experience as an Agile coach (2 to 3 years)
- Ten to twelve facilitation
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and flexibility to changing priorities
- Goears application development experience, preferably as a project manager or Scrum Master
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop od negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills
- Able to Matrix manage
- Financial services industry knowledge (3 to 5 years)
- Certified Scrum Master a plus
