Jr. Level QA Engineer, Quincy, MA, Contract

A Jr. Level QA Engineer needed to join an experienced team for ensuring quality of multiple applications that support our customer-embraced mobile digital shopper marketing solution. The QA Engineer is required to be involved in end to end testing of our mobile and Server Side Java based applications and their supporting infrastructures. This individual will not be doing any automation, just manual testing.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and execute test scenarios by interpreting requirements and functional specifications
• Work closely with the Development Team in all phases of SLDC
• Analyze, document, and report test results
• Work with off-shore QA Engineers in testing of mobile applications

The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise):

• Working knowledge of Linux
• Knowledge of iPhone and Android functionality
• Some Experience with performance, load, and stress testing
• Working knowledge of SQL and how to get information from a database
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Retail experience preferable
• Comfortable delivering factually bad news while retaining working relationships
• Eager to have fun in the office

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor
• A Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Work Experience: 1-3 years as a QA Engineer
• Work Requirements: Person needs to be in the office during regular business hours 40+ hours per week
