Summary

Work in a fast and growing industry for this large company that is managed like a small one. You will provide development, implementation, and maintenance of all technical systems infrastructure for a 24x7 production environment. The production environment is a SaaS (Software as a Service) financial services platform in a .NET 4.0/SQL Server 2008 R2/Windows Server 2008 R2 environment. (In order to learn their products, in the beginning, you will be doing mostly maintenance on their Legacy applications.)

Responsibilities

• Schedule, monitor and adjust project resources and tasks as needed for successful project completion.
• Work with multiple departments to align resource requirements in support of the implementation schedule.
• Deployment, monitoring, and optimization of .NET services.
• Collaborate with software development team to ensure infrastructure conformity with application features and functionality.
• Participate in high level architectural design of platform as a whole including the ASP.NET 4.0 web site and web services.
• Perform vendor and product research and evaluation for system components and services.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Participate with cross department, senior leaders in support of business growth initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with managing life insurance/financial services applications or other large enterprise applications.
• 4-5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications with .NET 2.0/3.5/4.0.
• 4-5+ years of experience in database design and programming in a SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 environment required.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Experience with JQuery, XML and JavaScript
• Track record of technical project leadership involving small to medium sized teams.
• IIS 6.0 and/or 7.0.
• High availability/fault tolerant design expertise.
• Parallel programming/multi-threading design experience (System, Threading, Tasks, PLINQ, etc.)
• Experience with secure coding practices.
• Operational experience in a mission critical 24x7 data center environment.
