Citrix/Windows Engineer, Duluth, GA, Permanent

This Field Services role in Duluth, Georgia will be chief designer of desktop operating systems and management systems, and chief designer of application delivery, including application and desktop virtualization. The role is to design network operating systems to ensure a consistent standard of business practices and delivery of services.

Job Duties:

• Designs Network Operating System, including configuration of Servers, Workstations, Host, Terminal Servers, Access Servers, Firewalls, and third party applications
• Chief designer of Desktop Management Systems, including, but not limited to, Microsoft SMS, Compaq Insight Manager, and Winstall systems
• Chief designer of standards and documentation of all Network operating systems
• Provides technical training of all Support Personnel to ensure quality of service
• Provides third level support to technical support team
• Performs technical analysis of network operating s ystems using diagnostic tools to enable growth capacity planning
• Researches and makes recommendations for new server and Workstation hardware based on current and projected goals
• Researches and makes recommendations for new desktop management systems and operating systems
• Verifies the network is run in accordance with guidelines set by upper management
• Oversees the implementation of server and Workstation hardware and software to insure the best interests of the organization

Specific Requirements (required unless noted otherwise):

• Associates degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• 3+ years of experience in Computer Operations
• 5+ years experience in a desktop support position including help desk and a microcomputer environment
• 3+ years experience in a direct support help desk environment
• Able to demonstrate proficiency in TCP/IP, Win9x, Windows NT, Microsoft Office Window Oper ating Systems, and VoIP technologies, Compaq server hardware and NetWare/NT Server/NT
• 5+ years experience in Desktop Delivery services including Operating Systems, Applications, and Patch Management
• Experience with network administration as well as systems administration, preferred
• 5+ years experience with software systems such as: Microsoft Technologies including SCCM and App-V; Citrix Technologies; Virtualization Technologies; Enterprise Desktop and Application Deployments
• Microsoft Certified Professional preferred: Certification in A+; Net+ Certification; MSCE Certification; MCP Certification
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare setting preferred
• Demonstrate well-developed organizational, written communication and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative, executive staff and patient care systems users
• Strong project management skills
• Able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
