Biostatistician System Developer, Hackensack, NJ, Contract

Yoh has a long-term contract opportunity for a Biostatistician Systems Developer and Support to join our client, a global pharmaceutical company, in the Hackensack New Jersey area.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, validate, and implement systems.
- Provides expertise in vendor offered and in-house developed software tools for projects of any size or complexity, to meet user requirements, department standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Designs, implements, and maintains sophisticated integrated platforms for biostatistics support systems.
- Supports and administers specific clinical support systems.
- Supports users with the effective use of systems.
- Performs root cause analysis in the resolution of technical issues.
- Works with vendors to implement upgrades, patches, and fixes.
- Assists in the gathering and analysis for business requirements.
- Development of solu tion specifications based on requirements.
- Maintenance of Biostatistics data Servers including access control, study directory creation and data transferring.
- SAS Helpdesk to support Biostats, Data Operations, Data Management and Clinical Pharmacology's routine works including troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Technical writing on SWP/SOP, guideline and training materials.

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years development experience in UNIX and Windows environments.
- 2+ years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- Some SAS programming experience in a pharmaceutical/CRO programming environment.
- Programming experience with SAS open codes and macros, Perl, .NET/C#, Java, Solaris Shell Scripts, Visual Basic, SQL, Oracle and MS-Access.
- Development experience with high lever technical skills on UNIX/Solaris, Windows, and Oracle/SQL database.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of biostatis tics systems and related business processes.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable Regulatory (FDA and EU) requirements for the implementation and usage of Computerized Systems in a Research and Development environment.
