This position is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within the established geographic territory of Metropolitan New York City, New York.
Job Tasks:
- Develop and prioritize sales opportunities
- Sell software solutions within a defined market segment
- Establish and maintain a territory coverage plan
- Develop plans and customer base to meet or exceed assigned sales targets for territories
- Understand emerging sales opportunities and develop new customers in a territory
- Develop consultative sales relationship with customers to deliver competitive value beyond features and functions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations
- Develop and maintain relationships with product end users and report their competitive as well as technical issues to the proper channels for market planning
- Continuously expand knowledge of products and applications to serve traditional and emerging markets
- Utilize sales tools and systems for customer contact management; sales proposals, and opportunity forecasting
- Understand the competitor's product and strategy and know how to sell against the competition
- Accurately forecast sales opportunities on an ongoing basis
- Work with order entry, customer service, product management, and accounts payable teams to satisfy customer issues
- A B.A./B.S. Degree or equivalent educational certificate/experience is required
- Experience in the Broadcast, Media, or Entertainment Industries
- General PC knowledge and experience in typical MS business applications needed (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Minimum five years of technical sales experience in a related field
