An Information Architect/Web Specialist consultant is required to support the development of a system of our client that is located in New York, New York.
The following are areas of primary focus:
- Assist with the gathering and documentation of functional requirements for new and existing applications; doing so under time and functional constraints
- Produce site-maps/navigation flows, wire-frames, and simple mock-ups for the design that meet the functional requirements
- Define usability and find ability best practices to be incorporated into the applications/sites
- Assist with UAT, usability, and functional testing
- Strong UI experience working on designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise applications that are transaction/work-flow based including producing site-maps, navigation flows, wire-frames , mock-ups, and style-guides for look and feel
- HTML pages/screens to use for Back End integration
- Must be experienced in designing user friendly and structured GUIs for enterprise applications that support and promote find ability and usability
- Must be able to read, understand, and translate functional specifications and technical design artifacts including use cases, sequence diagrams, and data model diagrams into a UI design
- Experience not only working with traditional web-base platforms, but also some experience with Windows and mobile-based platforms
- Must be able to pick up in a project 'mid stream' to assist teams with existing efforts and within some technical constraints and design choices
- Must be able to work with minimal direction
- Experience in usability, UAT, and functional testing
- Design presentation tool experience (Visio and/or other similar product)
- Mock-ups
- HTML, DHTML, JavaScript or Jscript, and CSS
- Graphical design tools to build screen/page elements
- Experience with taxonomy structures
