Role Summary
The Senior SharePoint Developer is a critical IT role in the Application Delivery and Maintenance team. This resource is responsible for the day-to-day support of multiple SharePoint sites as well as the creation of new SharePoint experiences. Ensuring that so lutions meet the functional requirements and align to the established standards and strategies of our client's IT department.

Key Tasks Responsibilities (duties include but are not limited to the following):
- Maintenance and support of pre-existing SharePoint 2007 and 2010 sites
- Development of new SharePoint sites
- Design and develop custom solutions in a SharePoint 2007 and 2010 environments using the following toolset: SharePoint Object Model, .NET/C#/JQuery, Visual Studio 2008/2010/Team Foundation Server, SQL Server Stored Procedures, Microsoft Entity Framework
- Ensuring solutions meet the stated business and technical requirements
- Provide end-to-end enterprise Web app lication architecture and development
- Provide software architecture, software design and development, and developing associated documentation
- Work closely with the business analysts and senior developers to identify business requirements, formulate designs and implement the services
- Ensuring solutions can be delivered, managed and supported
- Management and escalation of any technical issues that arise in the process of developing the solution
Education and Professional Membership
- Educated to degree level
- Ideally certified in some relevant technologies
Experience requirements
- 5+ years of IT design/development experience with proven experience in complex custom
- SharePoint development with .NET and Microsoft SQL
- To have full project life cycle technical design experience on two or more significant implementations within medium to large organisation(s)
Required Skills
- Experience in all aspects of application development (analysis and design to implementation and support)
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work independently with a client
- Advanced application development using .NET with VB or C# experience
- SQL Server database design and implementation experience
- A good understanding of Infrastructure (hardware, software, data, networking)
- Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory and Internet Information Services (IIS) experience
- Experience developing .NET Web Services
- Experience developing and deploying SharePoint Workflow applications using SharePoint designer and Visual Studio
- Experience building and updating SharePoint sites using SharePoint 2007 and 2010
- Experience developing and deploying SharePoint web parts
- Experience developing and de ploying customized InfoPath solutions
- Good problem solving skills
- Experience developing against Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2008
- Understanding of XML data structures
- Business analysis and design experience
- Experience working with K2 Workflow with SharePoint
