Our client is seeking a DW and BI Developer to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. The person will have responsibility for technical design, implementation, support and maintenance of the business unit's Datawarehouse, BI Platform, and supporting ETL processes.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Enhance existing data marts and ETL processes to support new data elements and reporting requirements. Expand integration of 3rd party market data with existing warehouse
- Suggest and implement enhancements to follow industry best-practices for data warehousing
- Lead outsourced Datawarehouse development initiatives to ensure completeness and quality
- Administer Cognos BI platform
- Prepare documentation relating to warehouse system design and implementation
- Monitor and support ETL processes
- BS required
- 5+ years of Datawarehouse development experience
- 2+ years acting as a lead warehouse developer or architect using Kimball style data warehouses
- Strong SQL programming skills
- Strong SSIS skills
- Experience designing and implementing ETL solutions
- Cognos administration and report development experience a plus
- Scripting and .NET development a plus
- Experience designing and implementing OLAP solutions a plus
- Experience with Oracle DB a plus
- Experience with leading ETL tools also a plus
