OVERVIEW:
- Provides technical support in activities associated with the identification, prioritization and resolution of reported problems by CompuCom's service desk.
- Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and direct follow-up with the end client.
- Expertise in supporting software applications and remedial hardware is a must.
- Work activities are primarily related to software application support on desktops and laptops. (Networking/server activities not required)
- CompuCom is providing service desk and deskside support services to the client and utilizing Clarify/Clearvision toolset.
QUALIFICATIONS:< /p>
- At least 5 years of experience in a Deskside Support or related position
- CompTIA A+ certification required
- Industry related certifications on desktop, laptop and printers, including warranty certification for HP and DELL preferred
- Expertise with a variety of deskside support tools, concepts, practices, and procedures required
- Must have an understanding of Service Level Agreements and the ability to utilize standard incident management systems and related tools
- Ability to provide maintenance, upgrades or replace hardware and software systems as required by the client
- Wide degree of creativity and latitude expected
- Typically reports to a technical Team Leader or Manager (customer)
- Must live within realistic commute to the client's location to be considered
- Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
