OVERVIEW:

  • Provides technical support in activities associated with the identification, prioritization and resolution of reported problems by CompuCom's service desk.
  • Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and direct follow-up with the end client.
  • Expertise in supporting software applications and remedial hardware is a must.
  • Work activities are primarily related to software application support on desktops and laptops. (Networking/server activities not required)
  • CompuCom is providing service desk and deskside support services to the client and utilizing Clarify/Clearvision toolset.

QUALIFICATIONS:< /p>

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Deskside Support or related position
  • CompTIA A+ certification required
  • Industry related certifications on desktop, laptop and printers, including warranty certification for HP and DELL preferred
  • Expertise with a variety of deskside support tools, concepts, practices, and procedures required
  • Must have an understanding of Service Level Agreements and the ability to utilize standard incident management systems and related tools
  • Ability to provide maintenance, upgrades or replace hardware and software systems as required by the client
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude expected
  • Typically reports to a technical Team Leader or Manager (customer)
  • Must live within realistic commute to the client's location to be considered
  • Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
