Summary

Our client is a global leader in the payments industry seeking a talented Project Manager/Consultant to help them implement a new encryption tool as an added layer of security. This is a strategic project for our client, as it will ensure that sensitive data is not at risk, even in the event of a network breach. You will participate in the identification, design, development and implementation of assigned project(s). Assigned projects may be general or systems related in nature. You will interface with internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion in accordance with user needs. This is an executive facing position with the ability to assist in development of strategic initiatives with stakeholder engagement. Must be able to walk the fine line betw een being a people person while also driving the project schedule. You must have excellent multi-tasking skills. This is a 3-6 month contract to perm role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the project, including the gathering of requirements, coding, testing, deployment of code, production validation, and processing of data.
• You will manage projects from initiation through execution
• Will be expected to manage projects that span multi-groups and time zones. You must be able to learn fast and build up knowledge areas.
• Report project status to executives and stakeholders as necessary
• Complete standard project artifacts
• You will be mentoring project leads, creating work breakdown structures, driving out detailed estimates, resource assignment, and identification of critical path, resource constraints, and key project milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of full time Project Management experience
• Proven track record managing complex, high profile, multi-million dollar initiatives with remote Matrix teams.
• SDLC experience is a must. Experience managing soup to nuts on full Project Life Cycle from initial scope statements, requirements gathering, design, development, test, and implementation. Including network and infrastructure build out for implementations.
• Experience with Infrastructure projects
• Undergraduate degree required/Master's degree preferred
• MS Office and Project is required
• Familiar with PPM's such as Clarity/Niku
• Knowledge of complex relational databases
• Knowledge of enterprise-class infrastructure platforms, including servers, routers, etc.
• Solid understanding of web-based applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-starter
• Experienc e in Risk Management and Planning
• Experience in financial services/payments is a plus
