Yoh has a career enhancing contract opportunity for an experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our premiere client in New York, NY.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for activities related to Linux systems administration
- Perform Linux systems administration functions within a multi vendor Linux systems environment
- Plan for, schedule and conduct upgrades on operating systems and related software or systems software
- Perform regularly systems patching and security updates
- Develop capacity and throughput requirements working with business line and Systems Engineering
- Interface/interact with customers, identify and understand their requirements, create and maintain a positive working relationship
- Create, maintain, update platform documentation and standard operating procedures

Job Qualifications:
- Experience working in an operational Lin ux administration role supporting mission-critical platforms, including physical and virtualized environment
- Strong background in technical operational support role
- Self-starter, cable of working independently and within a team
- Able to participate in a rotating 24x7 availability, on-call support function
- Incumbent must also be able to successfully complete drug and criminal background screenings as a condition of employment.
