Email Developer, Boston, MA, Contract

Located in Boston, Massachusetts, the Email Developer will create new HTML data-driven emails within a high performing e-communications team. Working closely with communications and implementation teams, you will create email templates within an enterprise level email deployment platform. You will be directly involved in the analysis, development and testing cycles to ensure a superior customer experience. You may also be asked to build and execute relatively complex SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server.

Duties include:

• Working in a team environment with individual responsibilities and accountability
• Collaborate with communications, operations management and development to create and refine variable content emails
• Achieve email content objectives through team work and innovative use of HTML and proprietary Scripting language

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following requirements:

• Web development
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript, minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Able to write and troubleshoot HTML code without the assistance of a WYSIWYG editor
• Be a key player in a team environment
• Collaborate with project managers and communications managers
• Ability to think critically and solve problems
• Acute attention to detail, dedication to quality assurance and thorough follow-through
• Validate and ensure project accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
• Ability to meet deadlines

Desired:

• Experience working with Server Side Scripting such as PHP, JSP, MySQL, ASP, Java, and .NET
• Experience working JavaScript libraries such as JQuery
• ASP.NET experience is a plus
• Writing SQL queries against multiple tables is a plus
