OVERVIEW:
- Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external Cisco networks
- Develops and maintains all Cisco network configurations
- Troubleshoots network performance issues
- Creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
- Recommends upgrades, patches for Cisco equipment
- Provides technical support and guidance to users
- Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications
- Uses knowledge of Cisco LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Works u nder general supervision
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- CCNA or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with standard Cisco network switching and routing concepts, practices, and procedures
- Sufficient experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude needed
