Senior Business Analyst, Natick, MA, Contract

The Senior Business Systems Analyst works within Information Systems to support efforts to leverage current and new technology. This person is the liaison between the groups and works closely with them to ensure a smooth process surrounding various projects and initiatives. The Business Systems Analyst evaluates complex user requirements and processes and analyzes, plans, and implements software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consults with users, management and vendors to assess technology needs and system requirements. Develops, implements, and modifies system requirements
• Assists the business in utilizing information systems to improve efficiency
• Makes recommendations for new systems or upgrades of current systems that will best meet the customers and company requirements
• Oversees all stages of application development from gathering requirements and researching options, design and testing, to rollout and maintenance
• Works closely with developers (offshore) and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Responds to questions regarding the system and capabilities of the current technology systems in use
• Responds to support activities and triages problems as necessary
• Provides overall operational metrics and ticket status
• Manages communications between technical staff and internal customers to ensure the smooth running of applications
• Coordinates and prioritizes internal related activities as they pertain to service, maintenance, upgrades, etc.
• Meets with management and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
• Manages issues to ensure they are resolved efficiently following established change control procedures
• Evaluates system needs to assess project feasibility
• Assigns and reviews the work of project team members
• Leads roll-out and implementation of new business application modules and releases
• Performs project management tasks as needed

Senior Business Systems Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5+ years work experience working with and supporting a software development environment
• Proven understanding of the software development life cycle and methodologies, as well as the specific requirements for maintaining systems in a regulated environment
• Previous experience working in a cross functional or project management setting is required
• Previous experience working with remote resources is required
