QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Assurance Analyst develops and establishes quality assurance standards for the Technology Services Division. The QA Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects and application requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem solving skills tto validate results through careful testing in order to maximize the benefits of investments in technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Develop and establish quality assurance measurements and testing standards for new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the development/product lifecycles.

Develop and establish quality assurance measurements and testing standards for data conversion routines and outcomes.

Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, and/or alternatives that adress existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects.

Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and informaiton system performance.

Develop and execute robust test plans and scripts to determine optimal application performance accroding to specifications.

Exeute regression, functional and data testing routines.

Ensure testing activities validate that the application meets the business requirements and system goals, bulfills functional requirements and identifies existing or potential issues.

Colaborate with development personnel in all phases of application testing including system, unit, regression, load and acceptance.

Analyze formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interopera bility flaws.

Conduct compatibility tests of vendor-developed applications as needed.

Assist in user acceptance validation and/or end user training as needed.

Report any problems or issues to Project Management.
