Technical Specialist

Kforce is seeking a Technical Specialist for our client's Wayne, New Jersey Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Group. The candidate will work on the Mainframe developing in IBM's Gentran in their Wayne, New Jersey Corporation.

Details of Position:

• The selected EDI Technical Specialist will be involved in every phase of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• He/She must be able to interpret business and functional requirements into technical solutions utilizing existing methods
• This EDI Technical Specialist must utilize excellent analysis and design skills
• He/She must be able to create detailed technical specifications, code complex programs, and effectively work with the Gentran software,
• This Technical Specialist will create thorough test scripts, support testing efforts, and by utilizing very good problem solving skills

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Technical Specialist Qualifications:

• He/She must have excellent Mainframe, Gentran, Cobol, JCL, MQ, and

Easytrieve knowledge and experience

• A minimum two years of Gentran experience is essential

Management Skills:

• The selected Technical Specialist must be able to work in a team environment consisting of, but not limited to Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Analysts, and user representatives from multiple functions, external groups, and support groups
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills are necessary
