Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Windows/Linux Administrator to join our client in New York City, New York.

Job Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for coordinating the integration, deployment, and support of software based broadcast and digital distribution automation systems. These systems are critical to operation and are in use 24x7x365.
- Will be required to work with the development team, engineering, and IT (Information Technology) resources to meet project and operational requirements.
- Responsible for server and Workstation configuration, preparation, and software installation, as well as documentation, deployment, and support for these systems.
- Implement project plans to meet technical requirements and schedule commitments.
- Coordinate integration and rollout of on-air and digital distribution systems while authoring, editing, and revising design, technical support, an d operations documentation.
- Some on-site and remote overnight, weekend, and holiday support is required during system deployment and special broadcast events.

Job Qualifications:
- A Bachelors of Science degree (BS) in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum four years of experience in system administration, implementation, and support of software based, mission critical systems is required.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux in server and desktop installations is required.
- Incumbent should have knowledge of IT infrastructure and current best practices.
- A minimum of two years experience working with Workstation and Server hardware is required.
- Schedule flexibility to meet on-air operations needs is necessary.
- Self-motivation and resourcefulness -Highly effective interpersonal skills are desired.
- Experience w orking in the broadcast or media business is desired.
- Experience with broadcast equipment, automation systems or digital media systems such as Harris, Snell, Grass Valley, Miranda, Floical, Avid, Telestream, or Rhozet is desired.
- Experience with satellite television distribution systems is desired.
- Solid time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks are desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are desired.
