Exciting opportunity to become part of our excellent development team. Working independently and with a team, the candidate will be responsible for support; tuning and administration of MS SQL Server databases in support of existing web applications backed by robust data aggregation, calculation, and retrieval processes. Candidate will also participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases, optimizing performance, managing system resources, database security, and data protection.
Requirements:
At least five (5) years DBA experience in MS SQL Server 2005/2008
Must have experience or in-depth knowledge in SQL Server support and maintenance, performance tuning, Data Modeling, authoring T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexing and performance tuning
Must have the ability and flexibility to support and manage our dynamic 7x24 Production SQL Server environment as well as the other testing e nvironments
Good technical document writing skills and excellent communication skills with supporting development team
Perl/PowerShell/Job Scripting experience is a plus
Experience with Hibernate, Java, and JBoss/Tomcat/Apache servlet and application containers is a plus
Bachelor's Degree is preferred
