Senior Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst in Parsippany, New Jersey provides industry expertise to successfully deploy the company's software and satisfy customers' needs. They proactively provide guidance on aspects of the business and functional designs during the project implementation and are considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME), advising customers' on best practices and the use of the company's enterprise commercial lending solutions by clients.

Duties include:

• Assist in the definition of proposals for new and existing customer engagements
• Conduct or direct customer meetings for: project discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping and optimization, design workshops, review sessions, and training seminars
• Own the documentation of customer requirements, clarifying any issues so that all business needs are articulated in an accurate manner
• Translate client requirements into highly detailed design documentation that provide a c oncise picture of the proposed solution that may include: wireframe diagrams, functional specifications, report or document templates, configuration of system parameters
• Evaluate the various options for design solutions and make recommendations based upon scope, budget, schedule and industry standards
• Work closely with technical team members to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction with business solutions
• Provide input to test schedule, test plans, test cases and assist in the execution of quality testing when required
• Support the project manager(s) with planning and management of project scope, budget and schedule
• Provide inputs to task and project estimating
• Assist in the definition of deliverables and supporting assumptions of the project to facilitate the production of the project statement of work (SOW)

The following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with 3+ years as a Senior Business Analyst
• BS or BA degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or Marketing is preferred
• Any recognized industry qualifications obtained in the business analysis discipline will be considered an advantage
• Experience working with external customers in a consulting capacity
• Working knowledge of computer systems, computer technologies and their relationship to business functions, practices, and processes
• Hands-on experience in Financial Services preferably with exposure to retail or commercial banking, credit card lending, agriculture lending, mortgage lending, construction financing, real-estate financing, commercial or personal leasing, and/or syndicated/participated lending
• Strong analytical skills that can be applied to creative problem solving techniques
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to solicit participation and input from others
• Facilitation and meeting management skills
• A firm understanding of the software development life cycle
• Familiarity with Project Management methodology and practices
• Experience in developing and writing process documentation
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
• Self-starter who can get up to speed quickly and takes the initiative to drive projects to success
