Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience. 4 years of related experience, including contracts administration experience or equivalent. Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic knowledge of database, budgeting and estimating software. Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
Job Description:
Assist CMs with coordination and review of matters related to administration of contract. Liaise with MTA CC Procurement Representatives for processing of relevant contractual documentation. Manage the uniformity of filing systems for contract documents for all contracts. Interface and liaise with CM staff and Contract Administrators. Assist and support the CM with processing all contract modifications (change orders). Responsible for processing and tracking contract modifications in accordance with established project procedures. Maintain CM tracking spreadsheets and information systems for all contract modifications, disputes and claims. Develop and recommend new and/or improved standards, systems and technologies for these items, while providing alternatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Coordinate and interface with all CM staff and associated program-wide functional staff, including Field Contracts Managers and associated members of the Procurement Department. Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of issues as the need arises. Interface and liaise with MTACC Proc urement staff. Develop OIC, RON, CPR and compile Red Folders for contract modifications. Schedule negotiation meetings and develop meeting minutes. Maintain Mod (BIC) logs. Maintain chronological file logs and hard copies of contract documentation. Develop letters as directed by the CM. Develop and maintain contract claim logs. Maintain correspondence logs and files related to contractual issues. Provide claims management assistance through contract enforcement and interpretation. Update master copy of contract specifications and drawings, subsequent to modifications execution, in conjunction with the Office Engineer. Develop progress meeting minutes. Provide follow-up with Contract Administrators to ensure submission of bi-weekly and monthly reports to the Field Contract Managers and Director of Procurement. Provide guidance and direction with training for all current and new Contract Administrators. Assist Construction Managers and Office Engineers with contract close-out activities. Other duties as assigned.
