Job Description
We are looking for an Advisory Test Engineer who is passionate about creating high quality, top notch software applications within an agile team environment to join our development team.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the scrum team:
- Creates and executes primarily automated tests. Manual testing may be required from time to time.
- Enter and track defects in bug tracking system.
- Strive to improve the usability of the products by working closely with developers and providing feedback.
- Help peers pick up automation practices.
- Work with team to define and plan the tests required for each iteration.
Required Skills Experience
Linux expertise is a must
Regression testing is a must
- Technically focused bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and related networking protocol.
- Testing of GUI applications, Java and/or Web.
- Well versed in one or more Scripting language (Shell, Perl, Python, javascript, etc).
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with home-grown or commercial automation tools.
- Experience in creating and executing test cases.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Network security experience is a plus.
- Experience with TDD or BDD practices is a plus.
- Experience in a virtualized environment, ESX Server and VM machines is a plus.
- T esting in an Agile environment is a plus.
