Technology focused company in Alpharetta is seeking a Senior Security/Compliance Engineer for their growing team! This position is a mix of technical and functional responsibility and will manage and oversee security policies and all compliance and risk mitigation. Will assist with audit preparations and documentation, and performing administration, engineering and network tasks to ensure systems and data are properly secured for business purposes.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Responsible for analysing and/or administering security controls for information systems. Defines and manages safeguards for technology. Evaluates, recommends, communicates and helps implement new security software or devices as needed. Develops, enforces and communicates security policies for data, software development/deployment, hardware and telecomm unications. Assists in auditing the company's Firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Ensures consistent execution of vulnerability scans and reporting. Provides information to management regarding the potential negative impact to the business due to theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information. Assists in communicating security procedures to users.
Maintains current documentation, including licenses, policies, hardware and software inventory and diagrams. Ensures detailed review of existing client SOP's, gap analysis and drafting updates of additional documentation and processes to address any identified gaps (developing policies, documentation, training, setting up monitoring structure, etc..). Defines and executes formal responses to security incidents (lockdown, damage assessment, internal external customer communication, follow up strategies, root cause analysis future prevention strategies).
Requirements:
- 5 + years hands-on security/PCI compliance background.
- Solid understanding of PCI and SAS70 audits.
- Hands-on experience auditing Firewall, IDS, IPS, etc.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local and federal regulations.
- Experience with computer forensics.
- Experience conducting internal external vulnerability tests.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
