Senior Software Engineer, Alpharetta, GA, Contract

Kforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for an Alpharetta, Georgia client. Their Corporation is seeking a proven Senior Software Engineer that will be responsible for developing quality software specifications and code for the Web Technologies Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Software Development
• Actively participate in requirements review, analysis and planning, design, and architecture
• Document software specifications and code
• Apply our client's coding standards in code documentation and naming conventions
• Occasionally carry a pager

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance
• Provide technical support for the application by diagnosing and correcting software malfunctions
• Provide technical expertise
• Perform research and evaluation of the software design and implementation options while making recommendations as for go forward decision
• Provide technical expe rtise to Applications Developers

The ideal candidate will have OO programming experience with C#, ASP.NET, and architecture and development experience in SharePoint 2010. The selected candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile software development environment including emergent architecture, changing requirements, and changing priorities (SCRUM, Agile, XP, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in programming on enterprise systems
• 5+ years of experience with C# or Visual Basic
• 3+ years of development experience with SharePoint portal and site administration
• 3+ years of development experience with SharePoint Designer and web development using XSLTs
• 2+ years of experience with SQL Databases including sound knowledge of SQL
• Ability to architect and build SharePoint solutions
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist for SharePoint 2010 Application Development
• S trong external/internal design, analysis, and debugging skills
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with J2EE/Java and Web Services is a plus
• Knowledge of content management and portal architecture concepts

Education:

• A 4-year Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
