Oracle ERP Business Analyst -Quality and Engineering, New York New York, Permanent

My Client is looking for a business analyst to represent the Information Technology ERP team in business interactions regarding the Quality and Engineering functions. This position will be responsible for acting as the primary interface for ERP to a broad customer base, including Quality and Engineering managers.

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Represent the customer in ERP strategy discussions.
  • Derive high ROI ERP projects from interactions with the Quality and Engineering business segments.
  • Act as the ERP expert in business decision making.
  • Identity weaknesses and design solutions to improve processes in the areas of Quality process management, such as NCR, CAPA, and Dispositions, as well as Engineering management in item, BOM and routing creation.
  • Develop effective and detailed project plans using resources such as project planning tools to ensure project adoption and execution.
  • Oversee and manage a variety of projects, specifically throughout the solution implementation cycle, by coordinating and communicating with project teams.
  • Lead ERP support functions by advising on best practice knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS: (education experience)

  • Education: 4 Year-degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Operations or Business.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years progressive BA experience in either the Engineering or Quality domains of a manufacturing company; experience in medical device industry preferred.
  • Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: A solid understanding of ERP and PLM technical architecture; Expertise in FDA certification requirements from a software system perspective; Past experience of having worked with Oracle EBS ERP is required, additional R12 experience preferred; Six sigma experience Green Belt, or a willingness to be certified.
  • Special Skills: Strong c ommunication and presentation skills; Ability to present complex technical ideas to non-technical stake holders; Ability to negotiate internally and externally; Ability to translate complex business requirements into process diagrams that can be used by ERP in designing a solution.
Other: 25%-40% travel required.
