A major investment bank is seeking an individual to join their eCommerce systems group that is developing a best of breed trade distribution framework and GUI which is being rolled out across all product lines. They are seeking an experienced Software Build and Configuration Engineer to come on board and support the configuration, deployment and release process of this new trading framework which is being rolled out in a phased approach. This is a great opportunity for a technically astute individual with excellent communication skills to join on of the most exciting development teams within the bank on a global project which utilizes cutting edge web and social technologies.

Reporting to the cross asset eCommerce systems Project Manager you will ensure the timely build and release of software components for the strategic trade distribution platform. There are generally 1 to 2 major releases per month and your work will be initially focused on streamlining the software build process into a more controlled, efficient process.

The team is looking for someone with a strong analytical intellect supported by a suitable degree (eg Engineering/Computer Science) and an in-depth understanding the software build process and software version control. You will exhibit a detail-oriented approach to your work and a confident personality in order to ensure developers work within the technology groups agreed build and release processes. You will have a proven track record within the investment banking sector, preferably within front office technology projects. On the technical side you will extensive experience with Apache Maven, in-depth knowledge of Git software revision system and Teamcity continuous integration tool. You will also have solid experience with defect tracking tools (eg Jira, ClearQuest) and good skills in Unix or Linux scripting. You will have exte nsive exposure to the full development life cycle and work well under pressure.
