Position Title: SQL Server Database Administrator
Duration: 90 days, Contract to Perm
Location: Birmingham, AL, or Nashville, TN
Our client is seeking a SQL Server DBA for a 90 day, contract to hire position in either Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN. The candidate will work with both business and technology associates, so strong communications skills are a must. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently while being part of a team.

Minimum Requirements/Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA Supporting SQL 2008 or SQL2008 R2
o 3 years must include maintaining Production and Test SQL Server environment - Instances and databases
- Applying Microsoft patches and services packs
- Database performance and optimization tuning
- Implementing database backup procedures and performing database restore processes
- Implementing and maintaining database security
- Two solid years of experience with:
o Utilizing SSIS packages; configuration of SQL jobs
o Supporting SSRS or creating SSRS reports
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience implementing clustered SQL Server environments
- Microsoft SQL 2008 Certification preferred
