JOB SUMMARY
The Program Officer will be responsible for supporting the work of the Nordson Corporation Foundation. Responsibilities include managing employee volunteer programs, managing the grant process and acting as a community liaison to identify opportunities that support the mission of the Nordson
Corporation Foundation.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage grant process by:
-Determining if grant requests are a fit with the funding focus
-Arrange site visits for Community Affairs Committee
-Conduct grant selection meetings
-Prepare written overview of organizations requesting funding along with committee's recommendation to be presented to the board.
-Manage the Time and Talent employee volunteer program
-Act as a liaison between Nordson and community organizations
-Work with volunteers to ensure positive experience and effective results
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
< br />-Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a
dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
-Bachelors degree required and Minimum of 5 years experience working with a foundation and/or non-profit
-Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an attention to detail
-Advanced Microsoft Office and Web based skills
-Highly organized professional with the ability to manage numerous projects
-Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
-Ability to communicate decisions tactfully

-Presents a pleasant and professional demeanor
-Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, take initiative, solve problems, and meet deadlines
