In this role, the Project Manager, Market Data Information and Vendor Management will support one or more work streams as the company seeks to implement best practices and improved coordination in the management of the market data content consumed by the firm and the vendor partners utilized. Specifically, the Project Manager will work in partnership with the market data team, client business units, technology partners, procurement, and critical market data vendors to foster alignment between client's business unit needs and best practices for the care and management of market data content. The role will assist in the project management of one or more work streams targeted to improve overall information and vendor management across the firm. This responsibility extends to enabling the steering committee, working groups and market data content managers to identify optimal models for data storage and management to create firm wide efficiencies for optimized content selection , quality control and ongoing vendor management.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate strong relationships with Market Data Team, Client Business Units and technology partners to ensure effective management of identified projects
- Manage timelines and activities identified by the Vendor and Information Management Working Group and Steering Committees on one or more project activities
- May involve management of multiple streams of activity or projects spanning multiple business functions and/or data stewardship centers
- Establish details of project plans and provide project status updates and recommendations to ensure project success as we seek to define data domains, conduct gap analysis on best practices and implement improvements to ownership models and data management capabilities
- Work closely with business units and technology resources to understand and negotiate resource availability to address project activities

This individual plays a key role in the success of the market data team's objectives to provide high quality cost-effective market data strategic planning, vendor selection management, service provisioning, and data management optimization. The role is based out of Boston, Massachusetts.
Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise):
- BA/BS desired
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 5+ years of market data experience is a significant plus
- Prior experience and strong knowledge of market data vendors, industry goods, and data sets
- Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with a diverse group of vendors, business units and market data personnel
- Passion, curiosity and a desire to understand data content and applicability to address business needs
- Detailed knowledge of market data content including all asset types (E quity, FI, derivatives, etc.) and content types (Real Time pricing, news, fundamental reference data, terminal products, etc.)
- Exemplary communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management
- Superior skill and ability in multi-tasking with appropriate prioritization
- Ability to effectively respond to a dynamically changing work environment and to positively influence business outcomes
