JOB DESCRIPTION

Field Systems Engineer (when applying refer to job order: 885530)

CLEARANCE: Active TS/ SCI with Poly

ATS is seeking an energetic and innovative individual to deploy, install and maintain a high profile system that is deployed in over 150 locations worldwide. Position requires travel to war zone and other locations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for procedural input to the TDY lead in the preparation of the hardware suite to include the initial integration of the peripherals and the locating of the baseline software in country as well as in a TDY location
• Provide subject matter expertise to the engineering staff during the System Development Life Cycle leading up to the deployment of a new baseline
• Provide input/support to Operations and Maintenance activities when not actively involved in deployment activities
• Prove onsite analysis when the problems occur outside the normal operations during deployment and provide input to the Engineering/Operations and Maintenance staff to resolve the system anomaly < /li>
• Work performed is time and mission critical

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Bachelor's degree in appropriate technical field OR 5 years of general engineering experience
• Good understanding of the system development life cycle
• General understanding of the SAR customer's organizational structure and methods
• 3 years' experience in general engineering or IT disciplines
• 3 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (Bash, C-Shell, Korn Shell)
• Requires more than 75% travel to war zone and other locations
