Senior Test Engineer, Roswell Georgia, Permanent

The Sr. Software Test Engineer creates and executes the plans to ensure enterprise software products and services are produced to the highest quality standards. This involves test plan test case creation, execution, and reporting - with a strong emphasis on communication and working as a team with other testers, engineers, user advocates and management (both on-site and remotely). The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Determine test strategies, plans test cases to thoroughly evaluate software quality using requirements definitions/specifications, communications and research
• Able motivated to independently take charge of assigned test projects and drive them through to completion
• Work as a team with other Quality Assurance Engineers (onsite, remote and offshore)
• Contribute to an ongoing process of improving test efficiency accuracy through use of better processes, tools, ideas, and infrastructure improvements
• Work closely professionally with development engineers to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+Years of progressive software quality engineering experience with enterprise software and web software
• 3+ years of experience as a lead tester or senior-level software tester, with emphasis on test strategy, specification creation
• Strong familiarity with SQL, HTML, XML and Java
• Highly technical - strong knowledge of Windows, Linux/UNIX, TCP/IP
• Experience with enterprise test management defect tracking tools (Testlink JIRA a plus)
• Superb analytical skills, excellent communication, strong team ethic, and attention to details
• Ability to schedule tasks and develop timeframes for deliverables
• Customer focus and a passion for building great products
• Ability to Multi task
• MUST be a quick learner
• Exc ellent Verbal and Written skills

PREFERENCES

Experience in video, broadcast and/or advertising industry a strong plus

Experience with video engineering applications (FlipFactory, Rhozet, etc.) a strong plus

Strong preference in experience with SOAP/REST and testing SOA applications

Using test automation or knowledge of automation best practices (SoapUI a strong plus)

Mac experience a plus
