We are seeking Security Operations Analyst - IT Services for a Temp to Hire position in Duluth, GA. is responsible for maintaining and supporting the security tools, processes and procedures within ITS that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of infrastructure and applications

The analyst will work with those people within Information Technology Services (ITS) who have similar day-to-day security operations responsibilities Key Areas of Responsibility: Provide support for selected security tools and processes that are standard within the infrastructure. Review existing toolsets for appropriate changes to increase the security controls within the environment. Work individually or with a team to analyze new security tools for possible inclusion into the environment. Document or update security operations processes as needed. Support internal end-users when tasks are escalated from the help desk. Work as part of an incident security manageme nt team as needed. Interact with vendor technical account management and support to solve support issues. Toolsets supported: Anti-virus software and other end-point security tools Server security Laptop encryption Intrusion prevention system (IDS/IPS) Vulnerability assessment tools Network Access Control software (NAC) Security monitoring tools When appropriate, serve as technical lead for small technical security projects. This includes communicating across technical organizations and creating discrete design, testing, and deployment plans. Support the enterprise's Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan, where appropriate.
