Summary:

We are seeking a capable and experienced DBA to work with our development team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to manage and independently design, implement, and support high priority and complex enterprise databases based on business area requirements. The development DBA will have strong relational database development skills including database design and strong SQL skills. The ability to write complex stored procedures is required. This position will provide DBA services for multiple product lines. (Should be at least 80%/20% on the programming side. If you don't have MySQL DB experience Oracle is a good alternate. You need to WANT to use MySQL.) Our client is looking for someone that has worn multiple hats, can perform without process, and can come in and hit the ground running. Qualifications:

• 5+ years of in-depth experience in the design, administration, implementation and support of enterprise databases.
• | Experience working with developers doing logical modelling and database design.
• Expert understanding of ANSI SQL syntax to construct complex optimized queries, triggers, views and stored procedures.
• Identify, define, and implement database backup/recovery and security strategies.
• Install and support DBMS software and tools.
• Perform various database activities which include monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, Scripting, troubleshooting, and consulting.
• Expert understanding of DDL and DML for relational database objects .
  Strong Data Anal ysis and Architect skills.
• Strong in relational Datamodelling and normalization
• Experience with Case Tools (MySQL Workbech, ErWin, Designer 2000, ER/Studio, etc.).
• Familiarity with data integration tool (Pentaho or SSIS)
• ETL experience is a plus.
• Experience with OLTP.
• MySQL experience is desired, but Oracle is acceptable
• Strong communication and team skills.
• Linux is desired.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or the equivalent technical training and work experience required.
